Connecting an assistant

Connect an AI assistant and it can fix your catalog for you, inside the same rails as your own work: nothing is applied without a preview you can read first, and it asks you before it runs anything.

Copy this address.
In your assistant, Claude for example, add Cascade as a connection and paste the address where it asks for one. It only needs this once.
It sends you back here to sign in with your store and to say what it may do. Nothing is connected until you agree on that page.

Every new connection starts at "ask me every time" until you decide otherwise.

A key for automation

An assistant that cannot sign in, because it runs on its own with nobody watching, needs a key instead. A key is shown once and never again.

An assistant connects over the standard assistant connection protocol and signs in as you, with the permission you grant: Read only, Read and write or Read, write and run. It is offered only the actions its permission may call, it is told which permission it holds before it asks anything, and get_access reports the whole of it in your own words. It calls named actions: get_access catalog_search catalog_read job_status export_list export_columns plan_create plan_preview plan_recheck job_retry rule_list rule_read rule_create rule_update rule_pause rule_delete export_schedule_list export_schedule_create export_schedule_delete plan_apply job_undo export_run plan_apply takes a preview reference and nothing else, so an assistant cannot invent work at the moment of writing. The rails hold by construction, not by good behaviour.
